About Us

Kardale Netball Club was formed in 1967 by Daphne Payne, a keen netball player, and teacher who identified the need for a local league to encourage new young players. Her vision of an ‘all-inclusive’ club is still strong and as a Silver CAPS accredited club we continue to maintain the philosophy of encouraging players of all abilities to play the sport of netball.

The club prides itself on being run with integrity, players are free to approach us, however, we do not actively recruit from other clubs.

We run five senior squads who play from Herts County League level through to local and friendly leagues. We also have a range of junior teams with members from Year 2 upwards. Weekly training sessions are led by our team of qualified coaches and our squads compete in leagues at all levels (both indoor and outdoor) from Year 5 upwards.

Winter training takes place at the St Albans School Sports Centre on Fishpool Street (term time only), with joint outdoor sessions for seniors and juniors taking place after Easter at St Albans Girls’ School. Senior members also have an opportunity to play Fastnet and join a league during the summer.
As well as playing opportunities, we also offer a range of training and qualification opportunities for players, coaches, umpires, and administrators for those with a desire to further their knowledge of and involvement in the sport.
